Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. white corn syrup
    4 c. sugar
    2 cubes butter
    1 pt. whipping cream
    1 can evaporated milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Bring sugar and syrup to a hard boil.
    Add butter, 1 cube at a time.
    Stir constantly.
    Add milk and cream alternately.
    Boil to 225\u00b0.
    Add vanilla and pour onto greased jelly roll pan.
    Let cool for several hours and cut into squares.
