Ingredients

1 pkg. Oreo cookies, finely crushed
1 stick margarine, melted
1/2 gal. softened ice cream (your choice)
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
ice cream topping (caramel, chocolate, fruit, etc.)
Preparation

Mix melted margarine with the cookie crumbs; press 1/2 of cookie crumb mix into a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish for a crust. Cut softened ice cream into inch slices and place on crumb crust. Drizzle your favorite topping on the ice cream, then spread Cool Whip over topping.
Sprinkle rest of cookie crumb mix on top; add chopped nuts, if desired.
Keep in freezer until ready to serve.
