Peanut Or Pecan Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Karo syrup (white)
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. peanuts or pecans
Preparation

Combine sugar, syrup and water. Bring to a rolling boil. Stir in nuts gradually so as not to lose boil. Keep at a rolling boil until nuts turn a light brown. Remove from heat. Stir in soda and salt. Pour into well buttered pan or platter. Allow to spread on its own. Cool.
