Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. quick oats
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oats; let stand 2 minutes.
    Cream shortening and sugars; add eggs.
    Add to oatmeal mix.
    Sift flour, cinnamon, salt and baking soda together and add to mixture.
    Bake in oblong pan 30 to 35 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
