Easy Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. seeded raisins
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. butter
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/2 c. chopped citron
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Wash raisins; cook 5 minutes in water and sugar.
    Add butter and cool slightly.
    Add beaten eggs.
    Add raisins to dry ingredients; then add citron and nuts.
    Bake in 8-inch tube pan that is greased and lined with waxed paper.
    Cook slowly at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
