Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. orange slice candy, cut up
    1 can Angel Flake coconut
    1/2 lb. dates, finely chopped
    1 c. nuts
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    pinch of salt
    1/2 lb. margarine
    1/2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. soda
    4 eggs
    3 c. sifted plain flour
Preparation
    Flour first 4 ingredients with 1/2 cup flour.
    Sift remaining flour and soda.
    Mix sugar, salt and eggs, one at a time.
    Add margarine. Alternate buttermilk with flour into mixture.
    Combine all ingredients together and bake in a tube pan which has been greased and floured. Cook at 300\u00b0 for 2 1/2 hours.
    Heat 2 cups fresh orange juice and 1 box powdered sugar until dissolved. Spoon over cake while hot and let stand in pan overnight.
