Soda Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour (may use 3 c. white and 1 c. wheat)
    1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. raisins or currants
    1 1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. molasses or honey
    pinch of ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Blend dry ingredients and raisins. Warm milk and blend in honey or molasses until dissolved.
    Add slowly to dry ingredients.
    Knead the dough 3 to 4 minutes.
    Form into a ball.
    Place on flat pan and cut a shallow cross (+) on top of the bread.
    Sprinkle about a tablespoon of milk on the bread before baking.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for approximately 40 minutes until brown.
