Toffee Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. margarine
    1 egg yolk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (4 oz.) bar milk chocolate candy
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix the brown sugar, margarine, egg yolk and vanilla.
    Stir in the flour and salt.
    Press in greased oblong pan (9 x 13 x 2-inches).
    Bake until light brown, 25 to 30 minutes. Place separated pieces of chocolate candy on crust.
    Let stand until soft, spread evenly.
    Sprinkle with nuts.
    Cut into bars about 2 x 1/2-inches while warm.
    Serves 32.
