Macaroni And Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. elbow macaroni
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. minced onion (optional)
    2 c. shredded sharp cheese
Preparation
    Cook macaroni in boiling salted water until tender; drain and set aside.
    Melt butter; blend in flour.
    Add milk.
    Cook until thick, stirring constantly.
    Add salt, pepper, onion and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted.
    Mix sauce with macaroni.
    Put in 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes or until bubbly and browned.
    Serves 6 to 8.
