2 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
1 tsp. soda
1/4 c. margarine
2 c. pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine sugar, buttermilk, corn syrup, soda and margarine in saucepan.
Cook to 234\u00b0 to 240\u00b0 on candy thermometer (soft ball stage).
Add pecans and vanilla.
Beat until creamy.
Drop by tablespoon on waxed paper.
Let stand until firm.
