Sweet & Sour Pork - cooking recipe

1 1/2 lbs. lean pork shoulder, cut into 2 1/2 inch strips
2 1/2 cups pineapple chunks
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp. corn starch
1/4 cup vinegar
2 to 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1 small green pepper
1/4 cup thinly sliced onion
Preparation

Brown pork in hot fat. Add 1/2 cup water; cover and simmer till tender, about 1 hour. Drain pineapple, reserving syrup. Combine sugar, cornstarch, syrup, vinegar, soy sauce & salt. Add to pork. Cook and stir until gravy thickens; add pineapple, green pepper and onion;
cook 2 or 3 minutes. Serve overrice (hot) or brown noodles.
