Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    3/4 c. shortening
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg, slightly beaten
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Combine sugar, flour, salt, soda and spices.
    Stir lightly.
    Cut in shortening to resemble coarse crumbs.
    Stir in molasses and egg.
    Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll them in sugar.
    Place on ungreased baking sheets.
    Remove immediately from cookie sheets when done.
    Bake 10 minutes.
