Barbara'S White Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    shortening, size of an egg, melted
    4 1/2 c. warm water, warmed not hot, heat kills yeast
    1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    2 scant Tbsp. yeast (may use 2 envelopes of dry yeast)
    8 - 10 c. flour
Preparation
    Melt shortening in a large kettle.
    Add the warm water; add the salt, sugar and yeast.
    Beat in the flour (add extra to knead as needed).
    Turn on floured board and knead eight minutes.
    Recipe makes 15 rolls and two double loaves of bread.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 oven. May use some for doughboys (fried dough).
