Irish Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. raisins
1 Tbsp. caraway seed
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients into a bowl. Add remainder of ingredients in order given until batter is smooth. Pour into 2 greased and floured 1-quart casserole bowls. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes; reduce heat to 325\u00b0 and bake another 30 minutes.
