Edith'S Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices bread or about 6 biscuits
    1/2 stick oleo or margarine
    1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs, separated
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla or vanilla, butter and nut
Preparation
    Heat milk to boiling point; pour over bread and beat well. Add flavoring, egg yolks, sugar and margarine.
    Beat well.
    Pour into baking dish.
    Cook at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    When done, top with meringue and brown in hot oven.
