Ingredients

1 baked (8-inch) pie shell
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 sq. chocolate, melted and cooled
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
whipped cream and nuts, if desired
Preparation

Cream butter.
Gradually add sugar and cream thoroughly until fluffy.
Blend in melted chocolate and vanilla.
Add 4 eggs, 2 at a time, beating 5 minutes after each addition, on medium speed. Pour into baked pie shell.
Chill 1 to 2 hours before serving. Top with whipped cream and nuts, if desired.
