Uncooked Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium cabbage
    6 to 8 onions
    4 red bell peppers
    4 green bell peppers
    8 large carrots
    2 or 3 hot peppers
    1/4 c. salt
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    4 c. sugar
    6 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Grind together, using coarse blade of grinder, the cabbage, onions, peppers, carrots and then add salt and mustard seed.
    Let mixture stand for 2 hours.
    Squeeze mixture well.
    Then add sugar, vinegar and celery seed.
    Cover mixture and let stand one hour or more.
    Mix well and pack in hot jars and seal.
    Makes about 6 pints.
