Skillet Chicken Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 broiler/fryer, cut up
6 slices bacon
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. celery
2 c. shredded cabbage
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

In large electric skillet, cook bacon until crisp.
Remove bacon and turn heat to high.
Add chicken and cook about 15 minutes, turning to brown on all sides.
Push chicken to one side of skillet.
Add onion and celery and stir-fry for 5 minutes.
Add cabbage and stir-fry for 5 minutes.
Add tomatoes, salt and pepper; bring to a boil.
Cover and simmer over low heat about 25 minutes.
Serve over rice.
