Icy Walnut Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/3 c. margarine
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    3/4 c. sweetened condensed milk
    1 tsp. orange extract
    3 c. 10x sugar
    1 c. chopped dates
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    In large mixing bowl, combine flour and brown sugar.
    Cut in margarine until crumbly.
    Stir in walnuts.
    Place in 13 x 9-inch pan (do not pat down).
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
    Stir occasionally, until crumbs are toasted and golden brown.
    Cool; set aside.
    In same mixing bowl, combine milk, extract and powdered sugar.
    Stir in dates and remaining walnuts.
    Drop by scant teaspoon into cooled crumbs; shape into balls, rolling to coat.
    Store in refrigerator.
    Bake at 400\u00b0.
    Makes 50 cookies.
