Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 (16 oz.) can tomato wedges
    juice from tomato wedges
    1/2 medium onion, thinly sliced
    1 small clove garlic, minced
    2 tsp. beef flavored gravy base
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    2 medium green peppers
Preparation
    Cut round steak into 2 x 1/4-inch strips and brown in shortening.
    Drain.
    Add liquid from can of tomato wedges, onion, garlic, gravy base, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Cover tightly and simmer on low for 50 minutes.
    Stir in tomatoes from can and green peppers cut in 1/2-inch strips.
    Cook, covered, about 6 to 8 minutes or until pepper is tender.
