Day Ahead Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box vanilla wafers
    1 (12 oz.) container Cool Whip
    1 pt. frozen thawed strawberries
    1 c. finely chopped pecans
    1 large egg
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 stick softened margarine
Preparation
    In large bowl, beat together sugar, egg and margarine.
    In a separate bowl, mix together Cool Whip, strawberries and pecans. Fold this mixture into sugar mixture.
    In a 9 x 13-inch pan make a layer with vanilla wafers.
    Pour 1/2 of strawberry mixture over this and make another layer of vanilla wafers.
    Pour remainder of strawberry mixture over this layer.
    Cover and chill overnight. Makes 15 servings.
