Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    4 tsp. milk (1%)
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar. Add egg; beat until light and fluffy.
    Stir in milk and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients and blend into creamed mixture. Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet.
    To make a design (roll the mixture), add extra 1/2 cup flour.
    Chill 1 hour before using. Use 1/2 at a time, keeping 2nd half chilled.
