Brownies (Gaye'S) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 sq. chocolate
1 c. nuts, broken

Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Mix the first 3 ingredients.
Cream the shortening and sugar.
Add eggs (beaten) and vanilla.
Mix in chocolate, then the dry ingredients.
Last, stir in nuts.
Bake in an 8 x 8-inch pan; do not overcook.
