Granny'S Chewy Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 oz. light brown sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Combine sugar and eggs in heavy saucepan, stirring well.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients, mixing well. Spoon mixture into a greased and floured baking pan.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
    Cool and cut into squares.
