Holiday Fruit Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. light brown sugar
    1 c. softened butter
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. halved candied cherries
    2 c. pitted dates
Preparation
    Sift flour, soda and salt into bowl and reserve.
    Put butter in a large bowl of mixer; add sugar and eggs.
    Beat until mixture is light and fluffy.
    Add buttermilk, vanilla and flour mixture. Mix well.
    Stir in nuts, cherries and dates.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
