Ingredients

5 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. butter (unsalted)
2 c. sugar
2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
1 Tbsp. pure vanilla
5 c. partially ground oats
2 1/2 c. peanuts, chopped
1 1/2 lb. Belgium chocolate or other imported or chocolate chips
1 c. sun-dried cherries
1 1/2 c. coconut ribbons
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together; set aside.
Blend together the butter until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Then add 1 tablespoon vanilla.
Pulse (on/off in food processor) the oatmeal.
Set aside.
Add the flour gradually to the butter mixture, then add the oats (do not overmix).
Add the nuts.
Mix until just mixed in.
Drop onto cookie sheets (use parchment paper if you have any) in golf ball size for bigger cookies or 1/2 of that for smaller cookies.
Bake 12 minutes at 350\u00b0.
