Quick Blueberry Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. (2 sticks) butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 (21 oz.) can blueberry pie filling
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Add the eggs and beat until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla extract. Stir in the flour and baking powder.
    Mix until smooth. Butter a 13 x 9-inch cake pan and spread the mixture into the pan. Spoon pie filling into the cake in approximately 16 spots. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes or until the cake tests done. Filling will sink into the cake while baking. Serve with ice cream, whipped cream or dust with powdered sugar.
