Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 firm green tomatoes (about 1 1/2 lb.)
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/3 c. margarine or butter
Preparation
    Prepare tomato slices.
    Mix flour, salt and pepper.
    Dip tomato slices into flour mixture.
    Heat margarine in 10-inch skillet until melted.
    Add tomato slices; cook, turning once, until golden brown.
    Makes about 3 servings; 290 calories per serving.
