Salt Cod Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. salt cod
    3 c. diced peeled potatoes
    1 egg, beaten
    2 Tbsp. butter or oleo
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    3/4 c. crushed crackers
Preparation
    To prepare cod fish:
    Soak the cod for 12 hours in enough water to cover.
    Change water once.
    Drain well.
    Dice cod.
