Pretzel Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 2/3 c. coarsely ground pretzels
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 pt. strawberries
    2 c. boiling water
    1 c. sugar
    6 oz. pkg. strawberry jello
    1/2 c. butter
    8 oz. cream cheese, softened
    4 1/2 oz. Cool Whip
Preparation
    Combine pretzel crumbs, 3 tablespoons sugar and butter.
    Press into a 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cream 1 cup sugar with cream cheese and add Cool Whip.
    Spread over cooled crust.
    Dissolve jello in water and stir in strawberries.
    Let set partially, then pour over cheese mixture and chill until firm. (Pretzels taste as if crust is made of nuts.)
