Saffron Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 tsp. saffron
    6 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    1 c. raw regular white rice
    1/3 c. dry white wine
    1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    In saucepan, heat broth with saffron until hot.
    Set aside. Saute onion until tender in 2 tablespoons of butter about 2 minutes.
    Add rice and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden, about 5 minutes.
    Add reserved broth, 1/2 cup of water and wine; bring to boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer, covered, 30 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
    Before serving, add more butter (2 tablespoons) and cheese.
    Makes 6 servings.
