Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1/2 c. soft butter
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    10 oz. maraschino cherries
    6 oz. chocolate chips
    1/4 c. sweetened condensed milk
Preparation
    Mix flour and cocoa; set aside.
    Beat butter until soft; add sugar, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
    Add egg and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
    Shape into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
    Saving juice, drain cherries and place a cherry into the center of each ball.
    In saucepan, combine chocolate chips and milk; heat through until melted.
    Add 4 tsp. cherry juice.
    Spoon 1 tsp. over each cookie, covering cherry.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
    Makes 4 dozen.
