Homemade Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 potatoes, cubed
    1 large onion
    2 sticks butter
    1 c. flour
    1 qt. half and half
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cook potatoes and onion; do not drain water off.
    In a large pot, melt butter.
    Add flour.
    Stir until smooth.
    Add half and half.
    Beat until thick, stirring constantly, then add to potato, onion and water.
    Cook for 1/2 hour on low heat, stirring often (do not boil).
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Add parsley for looks.
