Baptist Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 blocks butter or oleo
3 c. granulated sugar
5 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar. Add 1 egg at a time, beating well after each. Sift flour.
Add baking powder and sift again. Add flour and milk alternately to mixture. Add vanilla. Pour into a greased and floured tube or Bundt pan.
Start baking in a cold oven. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
