Cheese Freeze - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. unflavored gelatin
    1/2 c. cold water
    1/3 c. flour
    1/2 c. milk, scalded
    3 c. creamed cottage cheese
    2 tsp. lemon extract
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    4 eggs, separated
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 lemons (grated rind)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. whipping cream
Preparation
    Whip softened gelatin in cold water.
    Heat together egg yolk, flour, 1/4 cup sugar and scalded milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until custard thickens.
    Add gelatin and stir. Cool. Add cheese, lemon flavoring, vanilla and whipped cream. Add 1/2 cup sugar to beaten egg whites and fold into cheese mixture.
    Pour into your favorite cookie crumb crust. Chill until set.
