Ingredients

1 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 1/4 c. milk
2 Tbsp. soft shortening
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients together.
Beat egg, add milk and blend into flour mixture.
Drop batter on hot griddle.
Turn pancakes when bubbles appear.
Makes 16 (4-inch) pancakes.
