Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. round steak
1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. coarse ground black pepper
3 Tbsp. Crisco
1 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2 c. stewed tomatoes
1/2 c. sliced carrots
1/2 c. sliced celery
Preparation

Mix flour, salt and pepper. Roll steak in flour and pound the flour into both sides of steak.
In a Dutch oven, heat Crisco. Brown steaks on both sides.
Add vegetables, cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours.
