Barney'S Peanut Butter Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. milk
    1 c. creamy-style peanut butter
    1 choice of baked pie shell
    1 (3 1/8 oz.) pkg. Jell-O cook and serve pudding and pie filling mix
Preparation
    Into double boiler, place 2 1/2 cups milk and peanut butter. Heat and stir until mixture becomes smooth and thickens slightly. At this point, mix 1/2 cup milk and pudding powder.
    Add to hot mixture.
    Heat and stir often until pudding tracks 1/4-inch high across mixture.
    Remove from heat.
    Cool, stirring occasionally to prevent skinning.
    When pudding is warm, pour into 9-inch pie shell.
    Cover with waxed paper (prevents skinning).
    When filling is firm and cool, top with Dream Whip or topping of your choice.
