Ingredients

2 sticks butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. pecans
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
4 level c. flour
Preparation

Let butter soften in a large mixing bowl.
Mix well with sugar. Add well beaten eggs, soda, salt, vanilla and pecans (broken) and mix well.
Gradually stir in flour.
Keep stirring or working until all is thoroughly mixed.
Tear off 6 pieces of waxed paper about 18 inches long.
Divide dough into 6 parts.
Shape each part on the sheet into a long roll, working the dough so that the roll is round and compact.
Store in the refrigerator until cold and firm.
Slice in thin slices and bake on the waxed paper.
Dough was rolled in on a cookie sheet.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven until light brown.
Remove and let cool on the waxed paper.
Each roll makes 3 to 4 dozen.
