Date Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. chopped dates
Preparation
    Mix 1 cup brown sugar, boiling water and butter until dissolved.
    Mix together well 1 cup brown sugar, flour, baking powder, milk and chopped dates.
    Pour this batter into a 9 x 9-inch buttered pan.
    Pour liquid mixture over the batter.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Serve warm or cool with whipped cream.
