Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. cucumber
    1 gal. cabbage
    1/2 gal. green tomatoes
    12 medium onions
    12 medium sweet peppers
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Chop all vegetables and mix well.
    Mix all together, except cabbage.
    Add 2 teaspoons salt and let stand for 1 hour.
    Drain off water and then mix in cabbage.
    Stir up good.
    Add vinegar and sugar.
    Boil 15 to 20 minutes.
    Pack into jars and seal.
