Christmas Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 sticks butter
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 (4 oz.) pkg. candied cherries, diced finely
    1 (4 oz.) pkg. candied pineapple, diced finely
    1 (4 oz.) pkg. candied green pineapple, diced finely
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 c. English walnuts or pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar well. Add egg and mix thoroughly.
    Mix salt and flour and combine with fruit and nuts.
    Mix with sugar and margarine. Drop by teaspoon (2-inches apart) on aluminum foil lined cookie sheet.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes. Cool before removing from foil.
    Makes 5 or 6 dozen cookies.
