Lemon Caraway Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. unbleached flour, sifted
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. shortening, softened
    1 Tbsp. caraway seed
Preparation
    Sift flour, soda and salt together.
    Beat the egg; add sugar and lemon juice.
    Beat well.
    Add shortening and caraway seed; cream thoroughly.
    Add flour mixture and blend thoroughly.
    Chill for several hours.
