Easy Cheese Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 slices French bread (each about 1-inch thick)
    1 stick butter, softened
    4 large cloves garlic (put through a garlic press)
    1/2 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    2 c. grated cheese (I like a mixture of sharp Cheddar and Monterey Jack)
Preparation
    Combine butter, garlic and herb mix. Butter well one side of each piece of bread. Next, generously spread the same side with the cream cheese. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet and liberally top with the grated cheese. Bake in the upper level of a 400\u00b0 oven until bubbly. Serves 6 to 8.
