Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

8 Tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
3 ripe bananas, well mashed
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cream the butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl.
Beat the eggs until light and add to the mixture.
Thoroughly mash the bananas with a fork to make about 1 cup.
Fold the bananas gently into butter, sugar and eggs.
Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and soda together and add to the mixture.
Flour the pecans and add last, stirring gently with a wooden spoon.
Spread the batter evenly in a greased loaf pan lined with wax paper.
Bake for 1 hour; allow to cool slightly before serving.
