Southern Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    1 c. sugar (use 3/4 c. for less sweet cake)
    1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    15 5/8 oz. box instant vanilla pudding
    1 c. sour cream
    1 (12 oz.) container Cool Whip, thawed
    coconut and chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Prepare cake according to package directions and bake in 13 x 9-inch pan.
