Slim Jim Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    2 c. celery, sliced (optional)
    1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1 3/4 c. kidney beans (undrained)
    4 c. tomatoes (undrained)
    1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Brown meat and onion in Dutch oven or large frypan. Thoroughly drain all excess fat.
    Add remaining ingredients. Simmer, covered, for 1 to 2 hours.
    Remove bay leaf.
    Serve hot. Makes 8 (1 cup) servings at 156 calories a serving.
    This dish freezes well.
