Strawberry-Fig Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. figs
    6 c. sugar
    2 large pkg. strawberry jello
Preparation
    Mash figs well.
    Add sugar and cook until mixture comes to a boil.
    Mix in
    jello and stir.
    Boil 30 minutes.
    Pour in jars and seal.
    Makes about 4 pints.
