Indian Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rice
    1 1/2 to 2 c. light brown sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1/4 c. cashews, broken in pieces
    1/4 c. raisins
Preparation
    To
    1 cup of rice, add 2 cups water and 1/2
    cup
    milk. Cook until
    rice is soft and a little mushy.
    Add
    the
    brown sugar
    to this and simmer over low flame until all
    the
    water evaporates. In a small frying pan, melt the butter,
    then
    add cashews\tand raisins; saute until cashews turn
    light
    brown. Add this mixture to the rice and stir.
    Serve warm, so you get the butter taste.
