Spicy Peach Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
2 tsp. softened margarine or butter
1 (16 oz.) can (2 c.) sliced peaches or apricot halves, drained (reserve syrup)
1/2 c. reserved syrup
2 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins
Preparation

In a large bowl, blend all, except nuts and raisins, until moistened.
Beat 2 minutes at medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally.
Stir in nuts and raisins.
Pour into generously greased loaf pan (9 x 5 x 3-inch). Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 to 70 minutes or until tests clean.
Immediately remove from pan.
Cool completely.
If desired, drizzle with powdered sugar glaze.
Store tightly wrapped in refrigerator.
